Mood Board

For the animation assignment I want to do a what if scenario. What if Vader stops RD-D2 who has the plans for the death star before it Escape princess leia's ship.  I want to create suspension as RD-D2 is being chased by the powerful Vader. Small droids will also be running away to show the fear that Vader drives into things, even robots. Although Vader will not be physical seen, the POV shots will represent Vader as he desperately an angry chases RD-D2 for the stolen plans.

Research Board

I have chosen to do my Star Wars animation based on the beginning events in episode 4. In stead of R2-D2 escaping the ship with the plans for the Death Star, Vader finds R2-D2 and destroyers it. In my Research Board Vader is chasing R2-D2 while R2-D2 is tying to escape. In my animation I want to capture how fearful Vader really is, so I chose to have the mouse robots running away from him as well.

Week One

Using basic shapes an editing their X,Y and Z dimensions I had to create a ship wheel. I used  Tubs, rectangles and cylinders to make the object. I copied different part of the wheel an rotated the sections instead of making new parts because it saves time an the parts will be exact length as the others.

I found little problems when making the house, the first one was the two set of windows. The two windows near the door did not match the other ones, so I had to move the vertices so all the windows were the same size.

Using what I learnt so far, I attempted to make a castle. The castle uses some of the techniques I used to make the house. For the holes in the wall I used the Boolean tool, what is used to subtract shapes for other shapes.
